The Monster From the Chasm
ㅤㅤAn impossible news of outbreak came from Seoul, far from where the location of its’ Voi’Ra is, in the heart of Jeju Island. Few Harbingers were sent to investigate using a ship as their means of transport, only to come back as corpses and missing reports. Harbingers were called to operate the newly-built battle drone, ISC Valkyrie, after the failed attempt from normal military personnel, resulting in degradation of mental health and suicides.
ㅤㅤSmokes and destruction were all that they could see in the scenery of Seoul. While they were using battle drones to explore what’s left of the city, the Harbingers could hear voices that came not from the mic of the Valkyrie, nor from the headphones that they were equipped with. It came from deep inside their heads, whispering intelligible words from hundreds of sources. Furthermore, when the battle drones were destroyed, they’d receive a spiking headache, accompanied with the sensation of being electrocuted in high voltage.
ㅤㅤWhen the drones arrived at its final destination, the half-ruined building of Lotte, tails covered with scales and acid liquid dragged despaired people inside the dark building, seemingly consuming them. When the unknown creatures finally glanced its way towards the drones and stood, its height surpassed what should be the normal height of a Vrocien, reaching 4 meters tall with more than two tails. The horrifying creature let out a ear-piercing screams before it started destroying the drones one by one, its last words were a warning, calling itself The Apostle.
THE DOOMSDAY

That day, hundreds and thousands of meteorites struck down the earth, causing destruction and chaos, covering the sky with crimson smokes and wounding the earth with gaping holes.
It was a day unlike any others. The meteorites that fell from the sky had an ominous, familiar shape. Crystal-like, egg-shaped meteorites, with dark colored vines with spiky flowers, continuously digging into the ground, to god-knows-where.
Poor humans who didn't know any better, came closer out of curiosity, like the old saying, curiosity killed the cat, their thirst of knowing the unknown was the one who brought them to death.
the vines moved, slithering like a snake to take a bite at humans' skin, attacking the nearest humans at their vicinity, planting their cursed seeds inside.
Seeds planted, humans who were bitten mutated, to various horrendous looking monsters, as if it was straight out of a movie. they could not think, they could not speak, with only groans and screeches as their voice. They attacked everything that moves but their fellow monsters.
It was later discovered, that it is not contagious, humans who were attacked by the monsters won't be turned into one, but the monsters could multiply, as long as the egg-shaped meteorite is still alive.
Voi'ra , the name the egg spat over and over again, and so they were called that.
THE 2ND WAVE

12 years after Doomsday.
Voi'Ra released poisonous mist into the air, engulfing the surrounding area with toxic purple smokes. When we thought them falling from the sky is enough, it gave us yet another nightmare.
Like a radiation. Humans who inhaled the smokes, their organs started to melt one by one, the cells could not handle the intensity of the foreign objects that entered their system. they would be given 4 days to live, like a pitiful attempt for mercy, before they die from organ failures. No humans have ever lived through this trial when it first came out.
Vorbrion, or the mist of calamity.
THE 3RD WAVE

51 years after Vorbrion.
The earth was invaded once again, with foreign spaceships promising death. From it, what came outside was a creature with no face, like wearing an old knight's helmet, the only thing that could be considered a face was the horizontal gap from the helmet, emiting faint red glow and black smokes. They were tall, standing over two meters, body covered in something akin to dragon's scales. two arms and legs, they have lizard tail coming out of their bottom, and a horn on their head.
They spoke human language, calling themselves Vrociens, while praising the seeds, Voi'Ra and the beauty it made.
The Vrociens always came in pair, and when the humans tried to resist and fight back, one of them plunged their hand into the other's chest, creating a chilling view of their body bursting into hundreds of dark purple and black strings, before, by the humans' very eyes, turning into a scythe ready to reap souls.
Humans could only watched helplessly as they kill and slaughter, giving no mercy to child and elder alike. they gave something to Voi'Ras, glowing gems that could metl one's skin, before flying away, leaving death and destruction on their wake.
The Voi'Ras grow, taller and taller until it reached the sky, like an animal tusks sprouting from the earth, its' roots spread and clutches the ground.

Although similar cells are found inside corpses of 2nd Wave's victim, not all of them had the same cells. We suspect there are two kinds of different cells. Will need further study.

Very Aggresive, military personel needed when dealing with the subject.

Cells observation resulted in similar forms and behavior with the victim of The 2nd Wave, aside from the one similar to subject 01
It's nape is covered with glowing veins of white color. It is the same as 01.
We tried to put two subjects together in one room. Experiment while it was unconscious did not produce any results.
Subjects tried to attack, recreating similar behavior as The 3rd Wave visitation. Military personnel are dispatched to stop before they could separate. Casualty:10.
The cells from 01 and 02 are intertwining with each other.

From the subjects' nape are similar glowing veins to subjects 01 & 02, with variations of colors.
Upon further investigation, we suspect the colors indicate nature and similar elements.
Transformations will occur if each subjects' cells are compatible with each other. Forcing a transformation is very risky, with 60% success rate. Failure in reshaping the cells will resulted in Internal Combustion, or paralyzation for life.

THE WORLD NOW

300 years after Doomsday.
Some part of the world is currently uninhabitable or unstable due to the Voi'Ra planting their seeds there, and the monsters roaming around. Living there is very risky, and there aren't that many Harbingers that could protect the land, because people seek refuges on the safer part of the worlds, those countries slowly abandoned, becoming a part of living hell.
Resistance is formed, governments and military from around the world are joining hands to develop the army of Harbingers, created as super soldiers to destroy Voi'Ra's seeds and freed the mutated humans from their misery.
From the government side, to the civilians' side, various organization were made for the Harbingers. Everyone are eager to claim back Mother Earth from the clutches of dangerous foreign enemies.
Too eager to save the world, they are unaware of the new danger that lurks from the shadows, ready to attack and kill to accomplish their goal, humanity soon face the biggest betrayal from their own kind.
People who were born after the 3rd wave, and lives inside of the borders their entire life, without having to step outside and met the mutated humans, doesn't really treat the world's condition as a reality, since they could only see those behind the television screen. "Since it is not directly related to me, then it's not my problem" having these foolish thoughts, almost all of them lives behind a false sense of security, a delusion, or a belief, where everything would be fine.
The main country where the condition is the most stable, with high technology and resources' development are Russia, Australia, Japan, China, Greenland and Canada, with Russia taking the lead.
The world still functions like normal, leaning a little towards Futuristic Dystopia, though it's limited to the countries stated above. The other countries, one who were abandoned and or unstable and could not afford the amount of security the main countries had, leaned heavily towards the Post-apocalyptic dystopian image.
The main countries built walls with high security around their borders, assigning more than hundreds of Harbingers and Military Personnel to guard the borders, killing mutated humans in sight and checking if there is any refugee mixed between the masses.
Perhaps in a desperate attempt to retain their former, ordinary life, things like entertainment, fashion, food, and even lifestyle, they try so hard to keep everything intact. They build underground farms, experimenting on animals so they could produce high-quality products in a short amount of time. Things that could not be produced in their country, they imported from others, using different methods of transportation.
Planes and helicopters are used when transporting extremely valuable products, or when transporting important members of society. Since this method of transportation is the safest, not everyone could use this. The most common method is using horse or modified cars for journey on land. When going outside the borders, although modified cars provide less noise than a horse, it has the risk of malfunction or running out of energy, since the gas could not be found just anywhere, using trained horse for transport is what most wandering Harbingers would do.
